The west coast route:

Staying to the west side we will avoid the trouble in central Africa. According to our research this is a reasonably well traveled route, which only presents little problems in the small part of DRC that must be crossed, Nigeria and some rouge states in the west.

The zig-zag route:

This way we will have to cut through the small corridor of Southern Sudan and CAR which separates the no-go areas of Darfur and eastern DRC. Southern Sudan and CAR pose plenty of problems themselves and are far from a well beaten track. Fuel would be a problem and the roads well.. thats how we like them.
